Guardian Christian Academy, a small private Christian school dedicated to academic excellence and spiritual growth, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Physical Education (P.E.) Teacher. The ideal candidate will foster a safe, engaging, and Christ-centered environment where students develop physical skills, teamwork, and a lifelong appreciation for health and fitness.
Teach Physical Education twice daily, five days a week, as well as perform other Physical Education duties as required by administration.
Plan, organize, and deliver age-appropriate P.E. lessons for elementary and/or middle school students.
Teach fundamental motor skills, sportsmanship, teamwork, and healthy lifestyle habits.
Integrate Christian values and biblical principles into lessons and activities.
Maintain a safe and orderly environment in the gymnasium and outdoor play areas.
Assess and document student progress and provide feedback to students and parents.
Organize and supervise school sports activities, events, and intramural competitions.
Collaborate with faculty and staff to support the school’s mission and community.
Attend staff meetings, professional development, and school functions as required.
All other assigned duties
Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Education, or related field, or two years of relevant experience.
Teaching certification preferred (state or ACSI).
Previous experience teaching P.E. or coaching children preferred.
Strong commitment to Christian education and the mission of Guardian Christian Academy.
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to inspire and motivate students of varying abilities.
